Thirty-five years have passed since the release of Kurutta Taiyō in 1991. Alongside Kurutta Taiyō, widely regarded as a masterpiece in Japanese rock history, three pivotal works marking a turning point in BUCK-TICK’s sound are being released on vinyl for the first time: the 1992 self-cover album Koroshi no Shirabe: This is NOT Greatest Hits, and the band’s seventh original album darker than darkness -style 93- released in 1993.

These three essential titles will be revived in 2026 with the latest remastering and cutting, and released on their original release dates.

Koroshi no Shirabe: This is NOT Greatest Hits is a self-cover album originally released on March 21, 1992. Having made their major-label debut in 1987 and celebrating their 5th anniversary as a band, BUCK-TICK rearranged and re-recorded their earlier material by fully drawing on the “groove unique to these five members” that they had cultivated on Kurutta Taiyō (1991). The result was a groundbreaking work that, even at the time, clearly demonstrated the band’s distinctive identity.
