The album has been meticulously remixed from the original master tapes by James Guthrie, the man long responsible for shaping Pink Floyd’s sound. Presented in what is considered the best possible modern form, this edition delivers exceptional audio quality. The iconic artwork — featuring a pig floating above Battersea Power Station — has also been newly redesigned, giving the album a completely refreshed visual identity.

Animals is a concept album that sharply critiques social and political issues by portraying human society through the metaphor of animals. The flying pig depicted on the cover — later becoming one of the band’s enduring symbols — soaring above London’s Battersea Power Station on the River Thames, is one of the most famous images in rock history.

The album was a major success, reaching No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 3 on the US chart.
