“Blonde on Blonde [Limited Edition] / Bob Dylan”

This is the fourth release in Sony’s fully in-house produced analog record series, featuring Bob Dylan’s seventh album, originally released in 1966.

• Significance: The album was the first-ever double LP in rock history, reaching #9 in the US and #3 in the UK. It masterfully blends Dylan’s two sides—the poet and the rock ‘n’ roller—and is often regarded as one of the greatest works of his long career.

• Hit tracks include: “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35” (#2 US), “I Want You” (#20 US), and “Just Like a Woman” (#33 US). It also features creative, ambitious experiments such as “Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands”, which occupies an entire side of the LP.

• Members of The Band, who later collaborated with Dylan, also contributed to this album. Most of the recording took place in Nashville, with Bob Johnston as producer.
