Akira Miyazawa – Yamame

The first leader album by Akira Miyazawa, one of the greatest tenor saxophone players in Japanese jazz history. Top jazz musicians such as Sadao Watanabe (as, fl), Akira Nakano (tp, tb), Takeshi Inomata (dr), and Masahiko Sato (p) participate. It is undoubtedly one of the most important works in the history of Japanese modern jazz. The title reflects Miyazawa’s love of fishing, and the jacket shows him as a man casting a fishing line.
